This time around, it’s using 1995 Finest Baseball designs following 2020’s 1993-inspired debut and last year’s 1994 spin . The base set comes in at 220 cards. The main shell set is the first 200 cards. It mixes veteran stars with the season’s rookies. This includes Opening Day debuts like Julio Rodriguez, Bobby Witt Jr. The final 20 cards are short prints, all of whom are retired greats (featuring Ken Griffey Jr.) Similar to Heritage and its move through the years of the flagship line, Finest Flashbacks uses original layouts and themes but applies it to current players and rookies. Like all Finest releases, Refractor parallels are among the checklist highlights. Collectors can expect one standard Refractors per hobby box. However, there are also several additional colors: Gold Refractors – /50 Prism Refractors – /35 Black Refractors – /25 Rose Gold Refractors – /15 Red Refractors – /5 Superfractors – 1/1 Base cards also have one additional parallel, Refractor Protector. These are among the toughest parallels with only 10 copies each. The name is a throwback to 1995 where Finest cards had a protective film on them to help protect cards from surface scratches. This film could be left on or peeled off. However, this time around, there is no film. Instead, the peeling instructions found on the original 1995 cards is printed onto the card itself. Autographs and Inserts of 2022 Topps Finest Flashbacks Baseball 1995 Finest Autographs are where most of the product’s autographs are found. These are tough pulls with base versions landing 1:336 packs. However, with several levels of Refractor parallels, overall odds for autographs are easier. They’re still not in every box or even three boxes, though. The 1995 Finest Autographs rainbow includes: Aqua Refractors Gold Refractors Orange Refractors Red Refractors Superfractors More than 30 signers are on the checklist ranging from current superstars like Aaron Judge, Shohei Ohtani and Mike Trout to such Hall of Famers as Frank Thomas and Rickey Henderson to rookies like Julio Rodriguez and Bobby Witt Jr. Two additional 1995-inspired insert sets are also on the 2022 Topps Finest Flashbacks Baseball checklist: Flame Throwers and Power Kings.
